We just came back from our travels through Kenya. It was such an enriching experience for us and the kids. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the abundance of wildlife, the culture so different from ours, the food and it's people. I could just tell from their faces how the kids were taking it all in and sharing these precious moments with their friends...
Great music, best friends and laughter at The Colombo Jazz Festival this weekend. Despite the rain the kids had a blast and us adults dancing the night away once the kids were asleep. I was thrilled when Major Minor, a South African jazz band, came on stage. Such beautiful tunes and it made me all the more excited about our new adventure :) Stay tuned!
Nothing more fun and enriching than spending the last days of 2016 in the remote village of Ulpotha. We had a wonderful time with best friends and we made lovely new ones. Soaking up the peaceful surroundings and embracing nature in its full glory it felt as if we were floating after a 23hrs long haul flight.
Ruby, Sam and Guido still on a jet lag were happy to change their heavy winter clothes for their favourite Si!Si! shirts and felt privileged being flower boys at Renee and Larah's simple but ooh so beautiful local wedding ceremony. THANK YOU AGAIN SO MUCH!
New Year's eve was magical with lanterns floating on the lake, the beat of the local drummers, kids climbing and jumping off trees and us... the older lot... dancing the night away under the stars. No better beginning of the New Year!
Mid term break and a few days off with the kids to Tangallle. In Paradise!! We were so lucky to enjoy the magic of these pristine beaches and the sunsets at the end of the day. Miguel playing the blues while Guido and I swinging along and watching from a distance. Guido is wearing the new Si!Si! Bodhi Shirt of the new collection and it became his favourite for the next few days! :)
So there we are. Only one more day and then we are off! Back to our beloved Sri Lanka. It is always hard to say "goodbye" to friends and family and of course to grandmother! But this time it didn't seem that dramatic. The boys were up for a little photoshoot of our latest Si!Si! winter collection and that turned into something really fun!
